Have you ever had those moments when you are approaching a woman that you really want to talk to and you’re in progress talking and BOOM, another male “friend or foe” just comes in and ruins the whole deal? Well then you have been a victim of a cock block.
Definition: To cock block an individual (usually a male) is a term used to describe the act of someone, intentionally or inadvertently, preventing another person from having intercourse with a third party. A cock block or cock blocker is a person who engages in such obstruction or intervention. (As definition per Google)
Let’s first discuss why it occurs. Personally, I believe its worse when a friend comes in ruins it. Perfect example would be when I was talking to a woman that I met at a party (this was quite some time back). I was talking to her just getting to know her and the conversation was going pretty good. Un till my friend came by who had a bit too much to drink ran in and said “Are you going to hit that tonight?” Next moment all from one stupid sentence, the flame had been burnt out. The reason why this may happen often is the friend or acquaintance was joking around. Clearly if he was a bit more sober he wouldn’t have said that.
The other reason why this occurs is primarily because of competition which goes in hand with jealousy. Some people whether you know it or not could be a little more competitive or jealous than you think. Maybe in my example he could have really had a thing for this woman and said that comment so it can interject and since he probably couldn’t talk to her “no one can”.
What is now more important is how to deal with cock blocking. This is key, whether you’re in a club, bar, or just about anywhere. The first think you do is Keep Cool. Remain calm remember if you act up and get rowdy then you’re making it worse for yourself. The second thing to do is treat as a joke or in a sense accept it. Meaning in my situation I should’ve replied by “Hey, I think he’s had a bit too much to drink.” Or “rough night pal?”. See the key is making it genuine, if you’ve been talking to a woman for an amount of time and something throws you off, you keep your cool, she’ll commend that. Always try to crack a joke because it always releases the tension that could have been created. Sometimes you might need to just avoid him and get that out of the way. In addition always remember to focus on her and keep concentrated on what she is saying. You don’t want to start an entire conversation with this cock block now do you?
What’s interesting on a side note is that we use the same species of animal when it comes to distractions and rejections from other people. For males we use a cock block and for women we would say mother hen....hmmm? Another great and helpful hint would be to make sure the friends you are going out with are wing man friends not cock block friends.
So remember next time you are in an interesting discussion with a woman and someone jumps in and steals your thunder follow the steps and get right back on track. Remember a good friend guides your cock, not blocks it.
